Amien Rais and Roy Suryo attended a court hearing concerning the authenticity of President Jokowi's diploma.

Summary

Former MPR Chairman Amien Rais attended the continuation of the citizen lawsuit hearing regarding the diploma of the 7th President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), at the Solo District Court (PN Solo), Central Java, on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. The hearing was also attended by Roy Suryo, who is accused of making false claims about Jokowi's diploma.

Prior to the hearing, Roy Suryo presented a copy of a diploma belonging to Bambang Rudy Harto, an alumnus of the Faculty of Forestry, Gadjah Mada University (UGM) from 1985. He compared this diploma with a black and white copy of Jokowi’s diploma. Roy Suryo stated that the original UGM diploma is A3 size, and showed a scan of the original diploma with permission from Bambang’s sibling, who also testified at the hearing. He explained that if the A3 diploma is reduced to A4 size, the dimensions will proportionally decrease.

During the comparison, Roy Suryo highlighted the placement of the stamp on the photo section of both diplomas. He noted that on Bambang’s diploma, the photo was placed first and then stamped, while on Jokowi’s diploma, the process was reversed.
