NewJeans (NJZ) Danielle’s Immediate Response To ADOR’s Exorbitant Lawsuit

Koreaboo
Danielle of NewJeans has appointed legal counsel and submitted a power of attorney in response to ADOR’s $30 million lawsuit.

Summary

NewJeans member Danielle has swiftly responded to a large-scale damages lawsuit filed by ADOR, appointing a legal representative on December 31st and submitting a power of attorney to the court. The lawsuit, seeking approximately ₩43.1 billion KRW (about $30.0 million USD) in damages, names Danielle, her family, and former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin as defendants. This action follows ADOR’s announcement of Danielle’s contract termination, citing the inability to continue working with her as a NewJeans member after a court ruling validated the group’s contracts with the company.

ADOR previously confirmed the return of Haerin, Hyein, and Hanni, and ongoing discussions with Minji, while formally notifying Danielle of her contract termination before filing the lawsuit. The case is now assigned to the 31st Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court, which is also handling the dispute between Min Hee Jin and HYBE regarding ADOR shares.

With Danielle securing legal representation, the dispute is anticipated to escalate as court proceedings progress, indicating a potentially prolonged and complex legal battle between the involved parties.
