No settlement with Ibeto, says oil firm
Summary
Dozzy Group, led by Chief Daniel Chukwudozie, has refuted claims of an out-of-court settlement with Chief Cletus Ibeto and his companies regarding an alleged US$3 million debt. The firm insists the dispute remains unresolved and is actively pursuing recovery of the funds. Dozzy Group also clarified that a Rivers State High Court judgment did not validate Ibeto’s claim to 22.6 hectares of land in Port Harcourt; instead, the court upheld Dozzy Group’s title to 122.3 hectares and issued an injunction against Ibeto. Furthermore, the company dismissed reports of a Rivers State Gazette revoking their land lease, urging Ibeto to settle the debt and stating they will continue to seek legal recourse until the matter is resolved.
