No West Sub settlement until at least late August

The settlement process between Resilience Healthcare, led by CEO Manoj Prasad, and landlord Reddy Rathnaker Patlola’s Ramco LLC has stalled. Despite claims from Ramco attorney Scott Kaplan that a settlement was reached in May, recent court hearings revealed significant internal conflict within Resilience Healthcare. Prasad has hired personal counsel, Travis Richardson, creating a rift between his interests and those of the corporation, which has prevented the finalization of the agreement.

Judge Patrick Stanton has scheduled the next hearing for August 25 to allow the parties time to resolve these internal disputes and finalize terms. The legal battle involves allegations of gross mismanagement and the potential misappropriation of tens of millions of dollars. Specifically, Kaplan alleges that Prasad directed unauthorized transfers of at least $35 million from the hospitals to Westlaw LLC, a bank account controlled solely by Prasad.

The West Suburban Medical Center remains closed, with critical infrastructure issues such as non-functional elevators. While the facility continues to receive significant weekly revenue from medical procedures, the exact allocation of these funds remains unclear amidst the ongoing litigation.
