Settlement Through Dialogue Better Than War ; Peace Benefits Everyone says Anil Vij

Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij welcomed diplomatic efforts to end the conflict between the United States and Iran, saying disputes should be resolved through dialogue and agreement rather than war. He said indications suggested a settlement was nearing completion, and that India would benefit if Middle Eastern petroleum supplies affected by the conflict were restored, as India imports nearly 25% to 30% of its petroleum needs from the region. Vij also noted that India had suffered from the tensions, including the deaths of three Indian sailors, and said restored shipping routes and regional stability would ease supply difficulties. Separately, speaking on the Special Intensive Revision process in Haryana, he emphasized the need for accurate electoral rolls, citing problems such as unchanged addresses, undeleted deceased voters, and ineligible inclusions. He said the Election Commission of India is responsible for updated voter lists, urged citizens to cooperate with Booth Level Officers visiting households, and stressed that accurate rolls are essential for free, fair, transparent elections and democratic credibility.
