Who qualifies for the Capital One settlement? What to know.
Summary
A U.S. District Court judge has granted final approval to a $425 million settlement in a class action lawsuit against Capital One. The lawsuit alleged that the company deceived customers by offering two seemingly identical savings accounts, 360 Savings and 360 Performance Savings, but paying different interest rates. The settlement class includes anyone who maintained a Capital One 360 Savings account between September 18, 2019, and June 16, 2025. Payments will be individualized and calculated based on the interest the account holder would have earned if the account had received the higher rate. Eligible members will receive their payments automatically, with payments expected to be sent around July 21.
