The company describes the lawsuit as “without merit” and intends to “vigorously defend it.” The lawsuit, filed in March 2024, alleges unlawful data sharing with third parties and seeks damages and an injunction.
Aylo’s 2021 accounts show a slight revenue dip to $300.8 million, with pre-tax profits decreasing by 33% to $7.1 million. The company maintains it is a leader in online safety and security, implementing policies to combat illegal content.
Additionally, Aylo is named as a co-defendant in a 2021 Alabama case alleging involvement in a sex-trafficking venture and distribution of child pornography, a claim the company also refutes. Despite these legal challenges, the directors consider the firm’s 2021 financial results satisfactory given market conditions, with accumulated funds totaling €7.39 million.
