Claim deadline in Dollar General settlement is Monday: How to get your share

WLTX.com
Dollar General shoppers must file claims by Monday, April 13th, to receive payments from a settlement regarding overcharging incidents.

Summary

Dollar General is facing a multi-million dollar settlement due to a class action lawsuit alleging they overcharged customers between October 10, 2016, and November 19, 2025. While Dollar General denies any wrongdoing, they agreed to the settlement. Eligible customers, defined as those who paid more or less than the advertised shelf price, can claim up to $10 per overcharged item, or the amount overpaid, with a maximum of $20 per household. Proof of overcharge is required for this cash payment.

Additionally, all eligible customers can receive a $3 off discount on a future $10 purchase at Dollar General, redeemable through the Dollar General rewards program. This discount does not require proof of overcharge.

The deadline to file a claim or return the claim form is Monday, April 13th. Those who received a Notice ID and Confirmation Code via email or letter are encouraged to submit their claims before the deadline.
