A class action settlement has been reached with Dollar General regarding allegations of price discrepancies between advertised shelf prices and checkout charges. The company denies any wrongdoing. Consumers who paid more than the advertised price at Dollar General stores between October 10, 2016, and November 19, 2025, are eligible to file a claim. The deadline to file a claim or return it is April 13, 2026. Eligible consumers can receive a cash payment of $10 or the amount of the overcharge (whichever is higher), up to a maximum of two claims per household. Alternatively, class members can receive a $3 discount on a $10+ purchase at Dollar General stores on June 1-2, 2026, without proof of overcharge.
