Dollar General $8.5M settlement: Last day to file a claim

FOX 9
Today, April 13, is the deadline to file a claim in Dollar General’s $8.5 million settlement regarding pricing discrepancies.

Summary

Dollar General is facing a $8.5 million class action settlement due to accusations of price discrepancies between advertised shelf prices and actual checkout charges. The Pennsylvania Attorney General reported that over 40% of pricing accuracy inspections between 2019 and 2023 revealed failures. While Dollar General denies any wrongdoing, consumers who paid more than the advertised price between October 10, 2016, and November 19, 2025, are eligible for a claim. Eligible customers can receive $10 or the amount of the overcharge, with a limit of two claims per household. Additionally, a $3 discount on a $10 purchase is available. Consumers can file a claim via the Dollar General settlement website, using a notice ID if available, or by completing an alternative form.
