Amazon Prime members have 1 week left to earn $51 in settlement - how to claim

Daily Express Us
Amazon Prime members eligible for a $2.5 billion FTC settlement have one week left to claim a potential $51 refund.

Summary

Amazon Prime customers who were allegedly enrolled in the service without their consent, or faced difficulties canceling their memberships, are eligible to claim a portion of a $2.5 billion settlement with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). The lawsuit claimed “unlawful Prime enrollment and cancellation practices” by Amazon. Eligible customers who didn’t receive an automatic refund between November 12 and December 24 can now file a claim at www.subscriptionmembershipsettlement.com. The deadline to submit a claim is approximately one week from January 16, 2026. Those who file a claim will receive a notice by January 23 and can choose to receive their refund via PayPal or Venmo, or a mailed check. Payments are expected to be distributed in late 2026. To be eligible, customers must have been Prime members in the U.S. who signed up between June 23, 2019, and June 23, 2025, and used fewer than 10 Amazon Prime benefits in any 12-month period.
