Tinder $60.5 million settlement: Find out if you qualify for a cash payout now

The Economic Times
Tinder will pay $60.5 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging age-based pricing discrimination for its premium subscriptions.

Summary

Tinder has reached a $60.5 million settlement in a class action lawsuit filed in 2015, which claimed the dating app charged users aged 30 and over significantly more for Tinder Plus and Tinder Gold subscriptions than those under 30. While Tinder denies any wrongdoing, the settlement requires judicial approval, with a hearing scheduled for May 20th. Eligible users, those who purchased Tinder Plus or Tinder Gold in California between March 2, 2015, and the present while over the age of 29 (or over 28 after March 2, 2016), can claim a portion of the settlement. The amount each individual receives will depend on the total number of valid claims submitted, and the deadline to submit claims or confirm eligibility is August 18th. Payments will be distributed via PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle, if available.
