Summary
In January, Greece’s out-of-court debt settlement mechanism achieved a new milestone, successfully completing 2,554 arrangements totaling €773 million in regulated debts. Furthermore, 440 debtors have secured suspensions of enforcement measures, protecting their assets and primary residences.
Bilateral loan restructurings with major financial institutions also show positive trends, with €442 million in arrangements recorded in December 2025, covering 5,522 debtors. The government provides nationwide support through video calls and a dedicated support line (213 212 5730) to facilitate access to these debt-restructuring tools.
