Insurance Journal
Rashee Rice is being sued by his former girlfriend, Dacoda Jones, who alleges multiple instances of physical assault.

Summary

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is facing a lawsuit filed by his former girlfriend, Dacoda Jones, alleging repeated physical assaults over a year and a half. The lawsuit, filed in Dallas County, details incidents occurring in both Dallas and suburban Kansas City, claiming Rice “grabbed, choked, strangled, pushed, thrown, scratched, hit, and headbutted” Jones, and also threw objects and damaged property. Jones is seeking over $1 million in damages, citing injuries including bleeding, swelling, and bruising, some of which occurred while she was pregnant with Rice’s children.

Rice’s agents and legal counsel have not yet responded to requests for comment. The Chiefs organization stated they are aware of the lawsuit and are in communication with the NFL, which is currently reviewing the matter.

This lawsuit comes after Rice recently completed a suspension and jail time related to a high-speed crash in Dallas during the 2024 offseason, where he pleaded guilty to charges related to causing serious bodily injury and racing on a highway.
